England men’s under-17s sealed a second successive victory on their trip to Germany, after a late winner saw them beat Israel by 2-1 in Duisburg.
Following their win by the same scoreline over Venezuela earlier in the week, Liam Bramley made multiple changes to the line-up to ensure minutes were managed across the squad.
And after a goalless first 45 minutes, England sprang into life ten minutes after the restart when Mathis Eboue opened the scoring with a shot arrowed into the bottom corner after cutting in from the left.
But the Young Lions were dealt a blow in the 75th minute when Yagel Tarshish curled home an equaliser to make it 1-1.
Bramley’s side never gave up though and were rewarded for their perseverance and late pressure when Calvin Diakite’s deflected shot found its way home to seal victory.
