About the course

This course is available for free for anyone who completed the Safeguarding Children Course or The FA Safeguarding Children Workshop as their last safeguarding children qualification and it is due to expire in the next six months, or has already expired.

If the last safeguarding children course you completed was the Safeguarding Children Recertification, you will need to repurchase the Safeguarding Children Course.

The course will take you around one hour to complete and will be valid for two years. If you completed the old style re-certification which was discontinued in June 2022, the qualification will be valid for three years.

You will only be able to take this course if you have a previous Safeguarding Children Workshop or online recertification on your FAN that was completed at least two-and-a-half years ago.

If you do not hold any safeguarding children qualifications, you will need to complete the Safeguarding Children Course, which is available for £30.

How to access the recertification
