England men’s under-19s ended their trip to Spain with a 4-1 win over the Netherlands at the Pinatar Arena, to round off an impressive first camp of the new season.
Will Antwi’s side enjoyed a 2-0 win over Ukraine in their opening game last week, before playing out a thrilling 3-3 draw with host nation Spain at the weekend.
And the Young Lions didn’t waste any time on Tuesday afternoon, taking the lead within the first minute as Harrison Armstrong opened the scoring.
England doubled their lead midway through the first half when Shumaira Mheuka scored to make it 2-0, before the Chelsea striker despatched a penalty just over ten minutes later to put Will Antwi’s team in firm control at the break.
The Dutch pulled a goal back shortly after the hour mark in the 61st minute, but substitute Sol Sidibe made it 4-1 with just over 20 minutes to play to restore England’s three-goal advantage.
