England women's under-23s are back in action for the first time in 2025 and will play two home fixtures in February.
Emma Coates’ side will first welcome Germany to the Poundland Bescot Stadium, home of Walsall FC, on Thursday 20 February (KO 7.30pm GMT), before they face France at the Lamex Stadium, home of Stevenage FC, on Tuesday 25 February (KO 7.30pm GMT).
Tickets for both fixtures can be purchased directly from Walsall and Stevenage, priced at £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for U12s.
The WU23s last played France in a 1-0 away victory in November 2023, with a Katie Robinson goal sealing all three points in the European competition. The Walsall fixture will mark the first time England have played Germany in the WU23 age category since 2010, with Germany joining the European competition the Young Lionesses compete in at the start of the 2024-25 season.
Coates said: “These are two really exciting fixtures to kick-off the year against two strong European opponents. Whenever we play France, it’s always a competitive encounter, and we’re relishing the chance to face Germany for the first time.
“It’s always special to play in front of a home crowd and for the players to have the chance to engage with the fans. It’s great that we have two opportunities to do this in February and we hope to see two great turn outs. I’d encourage all Lionesses fans to get their tickets to see the next generation in action – you never know who you might see named in a senior squad down the line.”
Germany currently sit top of Group A with France in fourth place, while England, who completed the group stage in December, are currently third in Group B. The standings for the WU23 European competition can be seen here.
