England success at The Best FIFA Football Awards 2024
England men's and women's senior team players were recognised at the ceremony in Doha, Qatar

The winners of the ninth edition of The Best FIFA Football Awards were revealed during a gala dinner at the Aspire Academy in Doha, Qatar.
Nine Lionesses players were nominated for The Best FIFA Women’s 11: Lauren James, Lauren Hemp, Keira Walsh, Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Jess Carter, Niamh Charles, Mary Earps and Hannah Hampton.
And England defender Bronze secured her place in the line-up after being named in the Women’s 11 on the night.

Keira Walsh, Lauren Hemp and Bronze were also nominated for The Best FIFA Women’s Player, with the trio missing out to Spain’s Aitana Bonmati.
And Mary Earps, the defending title holder, made the shortlist for The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper which was won by Alyssa Naeher of the USA.
Jude Bellingham earned his place in The Best FIFA Men’s 11, having been shortlisted alongside Three Lions team-mates Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Ollie Watkins, Declan Rice and Cole Palmer.

Bellingham was also nominated for The Best FIFA Men’s Player which was eventually won by Real Madrid team-mate Vinicius Junior, with the England forward placing third in the rankings behind second-place Rodri.
The 21 year old was also nominated for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year, as the ceremony took place at MediaCityUK in Salford later in the evening.
