The Lions’ Den connected by EE is back for the FIFA World Cup 2026, and the first episode of our new series aired exclusively on the England app on Thursday morning where you can watch the full episode now.

New host Andrew Mensah was joined on set at the squad’s prep-camp base in West Palm Beach in Florida by defensive pair John Stones and Dan Burn to get the new season up and running.

After two days of training in the USA so far, Stones and Burn gave their thoughts on how it’s gone so far as the squad continue their preparations for the tournament.

And for Newcastle United’s Burn, this will be a first major tournament having made his Three Lions debut last year following his maiden call-up from Thomas Tuchel.

"I'm just trying to take it all in, just the hype of it,” he said.

“I was really excited to get here, so now I'm just trying to take it all in and see what happens.

"It's pre-camp now, so it's still quite relaxed and we're all working hard, but we're not in tournament mode yet.

"That will happen when we're in Kansas and the build-up to the first game that you'll really think 'this is the World Cup, man'”

For Stones, this will be his sixth major tournament and his third World Cup, and with two preparation games over the next week to come against New Zealand on Saturday (9pm BST) and then Costa Rica the following Tuesday, he’s looking forward to putting into practice the work that’s been ongoing so far on the training pitch.

"It's a progression to take into the first group game,” he said.

“And for us as lads, it's just getting used to each other on the pitch, creating connections and take what we do during the weeks leading up to the two games and putting it on the pitch when we play those matches.”

You can watch Lions’ Den first across the official England app, where you will also find all of the exclusive short-form clips from each episode.

Alongside that, the England app is the best place for you to find behind-the-scenes clips and long-form content throughout the World Cup campaign, including inside access to training and arrivals in camp.
