A first-half winner from Lily Dent secures three points for the Young Lionesses in Poland

MATCH CENTRE: ENGLAND v USA

England women’s under-19s made it two wins from two games in their UEFA Women’s U19 EURO qualifying group stage after a 1-0 victory over Italy.

Lauren Smith’s team kicked-off their campaign last week with a 2-1 win over Turkiye before they faced the Azzurre in their second game.

And they were well worth the win too, after edging out Italy over the course of the 90 minutes.

It was an early goal that sealed the victory too as Lily Dent struck after 15 minutes to break the deadlock with what proved to be the winner.

The Young Lionesses will wrap up their games when they take on hosts Poland on Tuesday 3 December (12pm GMT).
