How is the course structured?
This course is made up of six two-day blocks that take place over 10 months, with a two-month gap between each block to give you the chance to put your learning into practice.
You will take part in a blend of learning tasks and assessments and receive on-course theory delivered by industry experts, on-course practical group tasks, group meetings between learning blocks and independent study so that you can apply learning in context.
What are the learning outcomes?
After completing this course you will have a much better understanding of what makes an effective scout working in the professional game and how to make evidence informed decisions relating to the recruitment of players within professional football.
During the programme you will work to achieve four objectives:
- Examine and evaluate your current decision making process
- Review your reporting process to establish best practice guidelines and consistency
- Understand how the FA 4 Corner Development Model can influence decision making
- Explore practical scouting strategies that inform talent identification practices
