Curtis Jones and Bukayo Saka will not travel to Finland. Saka has returned to Arsenal for further assessment having been substituted during the second-half of Thursday night’s match against Greece.

A squad of 22 will now fly to Helsinki on Saturday afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA Nations League fixture.

Teden Mengi and Dane Scarlett have joined the England MU21s squad ahead of their upcoming 2025 U21 EURO qualifiers against Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

Luton Town defender Mengi previously represented the Young Lions during their 7-0 victory over Luxembourg in March, and has now been added to Ben Futcher’s squad, with Tino Livramento joining Lee Carsley’s senior men’s team ahead of their UEFA Nations League fixtures against Greece and Finland.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Scarlett, who is currently on loan at Oxford United, also made his England MU21s debut against Luxembourg, in the 3-0 away victory in September 2023 which kicked-off the current qualifying campaign.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney and Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton will play no part in the upcoming fixtures, with both midfielders remaining with their clubs on medical advice.

The similarly uncapped Livramento has moved across from the MU21s squad having received his first senior call-up last month.

Lee Carsley now has a squad of 23 players heading into the next round of UEFA Nations League games.

Harry Kane continued his individualised programme at St. George’s Park on Wednesday while Jack Grealish also sat out of training as a precaution with a minor knock.

Carsley will be joined by John Stones for a MD-1 media conference at Tottenham Hotspur Training Centre from 8.45pm.
