The England squad has been named ahead of the September international window and games against Ukraine and Scotland.

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate has picked a 26-man group for the away double-header, which starts with a UEFA European Qualifier against Ukraine in Poland before they return to the UK to take on the Auld Enemy at Hampden Park in a 150th Anniversary Heritage match.

And there’s a first senior call-up for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, who joins the group having been a regular for England’s development teams over the years when he also became the men’s under-21s’ record goalscorer in 2020.

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill is also named in the senior squad for the first time, having previously trained and travelled with the seniors for June’s qualifier in Malta before he joined the MU21s squad as they went on to win the European Championship in July.

Brighton’s Lewis Dunk retains his place in the list from June, after being named by Southgate before he had to withdraw injured while AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori is also back among the ranks.

Southgate’s squad will report to St. George’s Park on Monday 4 September, where they will begin preparations for the resumption of their UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying campaign against Ukraine, which is being held in Wroclaw, Poland on Saturday 9 September (5pm BST).

Three days later on Tuesday 12 September (7.45pm BST), they will help celebrate the Scottish FA’s 150th anniversary with a re-match of both nations’ first international game which took place in Glasgow in 1872
