This year’s Coaching Excellence Initiative cohort has graduated from the 18-month programme, with celebrations culminating at Wembley Stadium, where the group watched the Lionesses secure victory over Spain in their FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier.

This month, England Football Learning facilitated a Paediatric ATMMif-R course (Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football – Reaccreditation).

This month, England Football Learning hosted its first ever Powerchair specific continued professional development (CPD) event. This took place at St. George’s Park ahead of one of England’s Powerchair games against the USA, part of a series of friendlies as the team prep for the European Championships this summer.

Former England captain Steph Houghton and midfielder Izzy Christiansen were among 17 current and former players from the women’s professional game who took part in the 12-month programme which was tailored to fit around the playing schedules of professional players.

Throughout the month of March, to honour International Women’s Day, England Football Learning  hosted a series of coaching development events for their network of female coaches. FA Coach Development Officer’s Sharon Muxworthy and Stacey Miles conceptualised the sessions and worked with various County Football Associations (CFAs) across the country to facilitate sessions catered towards female coaches in the regions, celebrating their successes and developing their skillsets.

In March 2025, County FAs will host female coach development workshops nationwide to celebrate IWD 2025. These sessions provide a supportive space to network, share coaching ideas, and gain guidance. 

England Football Learning has again partnered with the League Managers Association (LMA) to offer a new series of CPD-accredited coach education events for coaches in the Men’s National League System.

The FA launches pioneering ParaATMMiF-R course, the first trauma-focused medical training tailored for Para football.
