We’re proud to share that FA Learning’s Medical Education Senior Lead, Professor Lisa Hodgson, has been awarded the Sir Roger Bannister Medal at the recent British Association of Sport & Exercise Medicine (BASEM) Awards. This prestigious honour recognises a lifetime of outstanding contribution to the field of sport and exercise medicine.

 

The Sir Roger Bannister Medal celebrates individuals whose work has shaped the way athletes and patients are cared for. Lisa’s impact in this area has been truly remarkable. Well known across the sports medicine community, she has spent decades advancing standards in prehospital pitchside care and medical education. Throughout her career, Lisa has brought together clinical expertise and academic leadership, raising the bar for practice and inspiring generations of practitioners.


Her colleagues and peers praise not only her exceptional knowledge and precision, but also her generosity in supporting others. Lisa has been a passionate advocate for interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based practice, ensuring that the wellbeing of athletes and patients always remains the priority.
