Ellen White has enjoyed an array of memorable moments during her decade-long career as an England international so far, with the moment she became the Lionesses' top goalscorer in November 2021 followed up 18 months later by becoming a European champion at EURO 2022.
From the spectacular finish against would-be World Cup winners Japan in 2011 to the dramatic last-minute winner over the mighty USA in 2017, White has a back catalogue of famous strikes to rival the very best.
But it was during her 101st cap, against Latvia in Doncaster, where the striker from Aylesbury first levelled up with previous top scorer Kelly Smith, before taking on the new record with her 47th and 48th goals for England.
And she started all six of England's games on home soil, leading the line with aplomb as the Lionesses made history in July 2022 by winning the EURO in fine style.
One of the world's leading strikers, her international goalscoring exploits began on her debut, against Austria in 2010, before ironically becoming a centurion against the same opposition eleven years later.
On the club scene, she enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at Arsenal before joining Notts County in 2014, where she appeared in the first-ever Women’s FA Cup Final to take place at Wembley Stadium in 2015, just one month after helping England win bronze at the World Cup.
Since then, she's continued to find the net for Birmingham City (2017-2019) and Manchester City, who she joined in 2019.
Her on-field exploits have not gone unnoticed by her hometown, with White being given the Freedom of Aylesbury.
White has proven herself to be capable of delivering on the biggest stage, finishing joint top goalscorer at the 2019 World Cup and also bagging six goals during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games for Great Britain.
