Harriet Rose will present the newly launched podcast series, following England to Switzerland for this summer’s tournament

LATEST EURO 2025 NEWS

Exclusive player content, unheard stories, insight into camp – just a flavour of what the newly launched England podcast, ‘That Lionesses Podcast connected by EE’, will bring fans this summer during EURO 2025.

And host Harriet Rose will be with the Lionesses every step of the way, with regular shows set to be released ahead of and during the tournament.

“I’ve already seen this in each of the four episodes we’ve shot but you are going to be getting stories that you have never heard before,” said Harriet. “As soon as the camera was rolling, I loved it. It seemed to me like the girls really had a good time.

“You are getting stories about the girls from behind the scenes that they’ve not shared in the past – how they bond, how they tick, how training works, how downtime works, how they eat, how they sleep.

“I feel honoured that people are going to be coming to our podcast to get the latest. The closest they’re going to get to the players is through us. I can’t wait to see people’s reactions. I think it’s going to be a really fun watch and listen for people.”

An Arsenal supporter, Harriet most recently co-hosted the Women's Professional Game Awards, crossing paths with a number of the Lionesses, including long-serving defender Lucy Bronze.

And this summer, she will be getting better acquainted with Sarina Wiegman’s team who will join Harriet on the sofa in the build-up, before heading out to Switzerland to follow the Lionesses’ journey throughout the tournament.

“I’m a big football fan and I love to go to games, specifically female football,” said Harriet. “A friend of mine invited me down to a game and I just became obsessed.

“I love watching women succeed, whether it be in football, in my career or in any career. I just love to platform and champion women.

“On top of that, I can really get to the bottom of people’s personalities and what makes them tick which is something I think the fans will really appreciate.

“I’m no football expert – I’m not Gabby Logan, I’m not Alex Scott but I can bring a little bit of a different energy to the football scene. My style is getting to the stuff that’s a little bit more personal to learn about the people and really get to know them.”

From going backstage at the BRITs to manning the red carpet at the MTV EMAs, Harriet’s career spans broadcasting, presenting and DJing among many other talents.

And she will be calling upon all of those skills when she fronts the Lionesses podcast series this summer.

“I studied acting at university but realised I was better at being an exaggerated version of myself rather than someone else,” explained Harriet.

“I started going around interviewing everyone around me, whether it be sportspeople, musicians, pubs, clubs – I interviewed the owners of bars just to get experience. The more I did, the more I enjoyed it.

“I got some bigger opportunities and that was where I could really shine, bringing the weird and wonderful out of my favourite celebrities.

“I just love to get to know different people and learn things about them that other people haven’t necessarily got out of them before. I want people to feel uber comfortable to be a bit more open and honest.”

EURO 2025 gets underway for the Lionesses on Saturday 5 July when Wiegman’s side face France at Stadion Letzigrund in Zurich before taking on the Netherlands and Wales to round off the group stage and excitement is already building for the tournament.

“I love to travel as it is so for me, it’s so exciting and I just can’t wait to experience the atmosphere in Switzerland,” explained Harriet.

“It’s an exciting time for me, especially getting to do stuff like this because it’s so out of my comfort zone but it’s also an extreme passion for me. It’s going to be off the chain.”

The first instalment of That Lionesses Podcast connected by EE will be available in full from Monday 2 June via our official YouTube channel or wherever you get your podcasts from.
