A 20-strong squad has been named as England look to secure a place at the 2025 UEFA Women’s U17 EURO.

The Young Lionesses will face Sweden, Netherlands and hosts Finland as they vie for a place at the finals, which will take place in the Faroe Islands in May. Only the team which finishes top of the group will progress to the finals.

The WU17s, who will be led by interim head coach Remi Allen, will be looking to book their place in the EURO finals for the third consecutive year.

The Young Lionesses made history last year by making it to the UEFA Women’s U17 EURO final for the first time, which was followed up with a fourth-place finish at the FIFA Women’s U17 World Cup in the Dominican Republic in the autumn.

Natalie Henderson, who was head coach at both of those tournaments, will not travel with the WU17s to Finland due to personal reasons. Allen, who has previously worked with England WU23s, was most recently head coach of Barclays Women’s Championship club Southampton and also has coaching experience with London City Lionesses.
