MEET THE EURO 2025 SQUAD

The England women’s senior team departed St. George’s Park earlier today for Switzerland ahead of UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.

Prior to their departure, HRH The Prince of Wales paid a visit to see the Lionesses squad at the England base in Burton.

Prince William was met by FA CEO Mark Bullingham and Lionesses head coach Sarina Wiegman as the trio took part in a Made for this Game-inspired grassroots activity with schoolchildren, alongside former Lionesses Rachel Brown-Finnis and Kerry Davis.

HRH also took part in a special activation with our kit staff Kevin Fenner and Amy Pashley, helping to print tournament shirts with Michelle Agyemang, Aggie Beever-Jones and Maya Le Tissier also in attendance.

Players hosted their friends and family on site in a private lunch, with HRH sitting with the squad members going to their first senior tournament – Agyemang, Beever-Jones, Grace Clinton, Khiara Keating, Le Tissier, Anna Moorhouse and Jess Park – while getting the chance to meet their loved ones.

The special send-off ceremony involving the squad and support took place in the Hilton Ballroom, with Sarina and HRH addressing the squad.

Later in the afternoon, the squad were waved off by visiting schoolchildren from the Hilton, heading for the airport and then on to Switzerland.

Sarina Wiegman, the 23-player squad and wider support team will all leave Birmingham Airport this evening bound for their tournament base camp in Zurich ahead of England’s opening game on Saturday 5 July (8pm BST kick-off) against France which will be aired live on ITV 1.
