Lauren Smith's side were victorious on penalties in their final game in Spain
England women’s under-19s overcame the Netherlands on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the Albir Garden Tournament in Spain.
Lauren Smith’s side made it back-to-back victories, having impressively beaten the USA 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at Antonio Solana Villafranqueza in Alicante.
West Ham United forward Princess Ademiluyi opened the scoring for the Young Lionesses with 19 minutes played, assisted by team-mate and Birmingham City midfielder Ava Baker.
England goalkeeper Sophia Poor, who is on loan at London City Lionesses from Aston Villa, came to the Young Lionesses' rescue in the second period, keeping out a penalty.
Later in the half, the Netherlands drew level from a free-kick and the match-up was to be decided by a shoot-out.
And it was Smith's side who triumphed 5-3 on penalties in a dramatic finish to the game.
