Kane 'really proud' of match-winning brace on historic night
England skipper Harry Kane reflects on scoring twice to celebrate his 100th international cap
MATCH REPORT: England 2-0 Finland
Harry Kane was a happy man after netting a match-winning brace on the night of his historic 100th England cap against Finland at Wembley.
The skipper scored twice in the second half having previously come close on a number of occasions, eventually leading his side to a deserved 2-0 win.
He insists victories remain his ultimate ambition in a Three Lions shirt but admits to some personal pride on a special night.
He said: "It was a big night for me and I'm really proud to reach 100 caps. There was a lot of talk about it but I want to score goals and to help the team so it was great to be able to do that.
"Whenever you're doubted through your career it makes you more hungry and determined to prove people wrong and prove to yourself that you can still play at a high level. I'll always back myself to score goals especially in a team like this, creating the chances we do."
An incredible journey to become the latest #ThreeLions centurion. 🦁

Kane was also full of praise for teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold, who impressed at right-back against the Finns.
He said: "It was a great performance, he backed up another great performance against Ireland. We know what Trent can do when he gets into those pockets of space and has runners in behind, you saw that today throughout the whole game.
"Even though it was 0-0 for a while, we were still threatening and looked like the team who was going to break the deadlock.
"We spoke about being ruthless and in the first half we had opportunities to go ahead but in these games you have to keep knocking on the door and doing what you're doing and you'll get your rewards and that's what happened tonight.
"The new boss [Lee Carsley] has come in with great energy. He talks a lot about freedom and going out there and playing with your best attributes and attacking and hurting the opposition – and then without the ball, suffocating teams. We've done that well in the two games. Of course there is a room for improvement, but it's a great start for him."
Kane was watched on at Wembley by his family, as he became the latest player to reach the 100-cap milestone, so to come away with two goals to mark the occasion ensured an emotional evening, both on and off the pitch!
"My son was having a bit of a meltdown, as it was past his bedtime but thankfully my wife was there to look after him," he revealed.
"I don't think I was even thinking of 100 caps when I was on loan at Millwall, Norwich and Leicester.
"At that time, it was about getting back into the Spurs team. I have always had a good self belief. I have learned a lot of over the years with Mauricio [Pochettino] when he was at Spurs.
"The game is evolving a bit and it is great for me to keep learning. I would for sure be proud If I knew I was going to get 100 caps."
