England men’s under-19s enjoyed a 4-1 victory over the Netherlands in their second of three games in Marbella this month.
The Young Lions were deserved winners overall, with two goals in each half proving enough for Will Antwi’s team to claim victory.
It was an evenly-matched opening to the match and the Dutch began confidently before England found their way into the game.
And it was England who broke the deadlock in the 38th minute, when a perfect through ball from Joel Ndala split the defence with Kadan Young skipping past the goalkeeper to finish into an empty net.
The warning signs were there still there for England though, as Givairo Read crashed a free-kick against the woodwork which would’ve brought them level going into the break.
But it was England who doubled their advantage, as Josh King played in Ndala whose effort was saved by Dutch ‘keeper Ismail Ka only for Shumaira Mheuka to finish from close range.

The Netherlands did pull a goal back early in the second half, as Jerolldino Bergraaf fired home from close range following a corner.
They couldn’t build on that though, as England went on to take control from there with Lewis Orford heading home after 73 minutes to restore the two-goal advantage.
The scoring was complete in stoppage time, when substitute Mikey Moore made a mazy run into the area before expertly slotting home to make it 4-1.
