Sarina Wiegman and Mary Earps retain their awards during the ceremony at the Hammersmith Apollo in London
Twelve England players and staff were victorious at The Best FIFA Football Awards 2023 on Monday night.
Lionesses head coach Sarina Wiegman retained her title as The Best FIFA Women’s Coach, making it four awards in seven years (2017, 2020, 2022, 2023)
England’s Mary Earps also retained her crown as The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper to add to her growing list of accolades.
They weren’t alone on the England front, as seven Lionesses made The Best FIFA FIFPRO Women’s World 11, with Earps joined by Lucy Bronze, Alex Greenwood, Keira Walsh, Alessia Russo, Lauren James and Ella Toone.

There were also three England internationals in The Best FIFA FIFPRO Men’s World 11, with Manchester City duo Kyle Walker and John Stones joined by Jude Bellingham.
The three finalists in the majority of categories were chosen by a jury consisting of four different groups, which each counted for 25 per cent: national team coaches, national team captains, football journalists, and also fans who voted on FIFA’s official website.
The women’s awards related to the period of August 1 2022 until August 20 2023 – following the World Cup – with the men’s period beginning on December 19 2022 – following the men’s World Cup – and finishing on the same date.
