Having represented England at all levels through the pathway, from WU15s until WU23s, Freya received her first senior call-up for the final games of 2025 when Sarina Wiegman named her in the squad to play China PR and Ghana in the Lionesses' Homecoming Series.
 
Her form with Emma Coates' WU23s in the autumn internationals along with her performances for London City Lionesses in the BWSL had propelled her into Wiegman's thoughts with one eye on the start of the next World Cup qualifying cycle in 2026.
 
The Essex-born player who grew up in Billericay is capable of featuring down the left-hand side of midfield or attack and began her career with Arsenal at the age of 12, having first been spotted while coming through the Essex FA's Regional Talent Club.
 
After coming through the ranks with the Gunners, she impressed during loan spells with Ipswich Town, Charlton Athletic and London City Lionesses, who she joined permanently in the summer of 2025.
