The Gravesend-born midfielder was rewarded with her first senior cap in October 2015, during England's trip to Yongchuan Tournament in China under former head coach Mark Sampson.
She featured in a defeat against the host nation, before collecting a second cap in a win over Australia a few days later.
Prior to that, Laura had been a regular for the Lionesses at a number of levels in the development programme including being a part of the WU19s squad who won the UEFA U19 EURO title in Belarus in 2009.
Caps for the WU23s followed, while she enjoyed success at domestic level with Chelsea and Liverpool, before joining Manchester City in 2019.
And it was her form with the Sky Blues which saw her find a way back into the England reckoning, when Phil Neville included her in a squad for the Lionesses' training camp in November 2020 when she featured in an all squad game at Stoke City.

Coombs' continued good form with City saw her earn her first call-up under Sarina Wiegman in February 2023 when she was included in the squad for the Arnold Clark Cup.
