Khiara Keating made history on 25 October 2025, when she not only made her debut but became the first Black goalkeeper to play for the England women's senior team.

She started the game with Brazil in her hometown of Manchester to earn her first cap, having been a familiar face in Sarina Wiegman's squad since her first call-up in 2023.

Keating was a member of England's triumphant EURO 2025 squad in Switzerland, supporting number one goalkeeper Hannah Hampton in Wiegman's squad.

The young goalkeeper from Manchester City has been a regular feature for the Young Lionesses through the ranks, progressing from the WU17s, into the WU19s and then eventually breaking into the WU23s in 2023.

A first-team debut for City early in the 2023-24 campaign saw Keating catch the eye of Sarina Wiegman, who included her in the squad to play Belgium in the UEFA Women's Nations League in October 2023.

Despite now representing the Blue side of Manchester, Khiara first kicked-off her club career with city rivals United until the age of eleven when she crossed the divide.
