Chloe Kelly marked her first game under Sarina Wiegman by coming off the bench to score a maiden England senior team goal and set the Lionesses on their way to a 3-0 win over Belgium.

The first half at Molineux saw no goals but plenty of chances as England threatened Belgium's goalkeeper Nicky Evrard routinely. 

Kelly came on at half-time and grabbed the opening goal with a deflected shot before fellow replacement Rachel Daly volleyed home another soon after.

Captain Leah Williamson then saw her shot rebound in off goalkeeper Evrard to seal an impressive victory. 

Williamson was at the heart of the action and had the first chance inside two minutes, but Belgium were resolute in defence, snaffling up the ball in the penalty area. 

Ellen White forced Evrard into the first save of the game, as the Lionesses’ all-time leading goalscorer could not find the back of the net at the far post. 

Evrard was back in action three minutes later as Lauren Hemp embarked on a swirling run into the box, this time Belgium’s keeper tipping the ball behind at the near post. 

With 27 minutes on the clock, Georgia Stanway saw a strike drift just wide after the winger had done all the hard work shrugging off two Belgium defenders. 

Stanway looked to turn provider minutes later, selflessly giving the ball to Williamson on the edge of the box, but the skipper’s shot was deflected behind for a corner. 

The subsequent set-piece bobbled through to White but a difficult bounce meant the striker couldn’t tap it home as Belgium survived once again. 

The visitors’ only real chance of the half came in the 33rd minute as Féli Delacauw received the ball on the edge of the box but sent her shot wide. 

The half ended as it started with a Williamson chance, the midfielder driving into the box having been set up expertly by a Beth Mead back heel, but her chipped attempt was cleared off the line by Evrard. 

Stanway was in the action early in the second half, first sending a shot straight to Evrard from the edge of the box, before another chance curled just wide. 

She then made way for the returning Fran Kirby but it was another substitute, Kelly, who would get England’s first goal in the 62nd minute, as her shot was deflected home at the near corner by an unlucky Amber Tysiak. 

Daly’s goal would come four minutes later, Belgium unable to deal with an England corner before the defender rifled home a rebound to double the home side’s advantage. 

Despite England’s two-goal cushion, Williamson’s frustration at sending a shot narrowly wide was clear to see. 

But another chance soon came in the 83rd minute, Williamson finding the underside of the crossbar as Evrard directed the ball in for England’s third and final goal, much to the delight of the 9,598 in attendance in Wolverhampton.
