ENGLAND MEN'S LEGACY CAPS

England’s visit to the City Ground in Nottingham for their game with Senegal this week saw the latest presentation of our men’s senior legacy caps to a number of former internationals and their families.

FA Chair Debbie Hewitt MBE presented the caps to the players who were able to attend, while the families of those who sadly couldn’t be there were also presented with their caps.

All of the players have links to Nottingham Forest, including Neil Webb who has the unique honour of being the 1000th player to have worn the Three Lions, making it a fitting tribute for the presentation at the stadium where they made their name and earned international recognition.

The players, and their own legacy numbers, who were recognised at the City Ground in person were Frank Wignall (#832), Ian Storey-Moore (#862), Garry Birtles (#942), Steve Hodge (#996), Neil Webb (#1000), Colin Cooper (#1068) and Steve Stone (#1070)

And the families of those who are sadly no longer with us – brothers Fred (#245) and Frank Forman (#236), Trevor Francis (#926) and Larry Lloyd (#876) — were also present to receive the caps on their behalf.
