England women’s under-19s picked up their first win of 2025, after beating USA by 2-0 in Spain on Sunday afternoon.

The Young Lionesses are participating in the Albir Garden Tournament in Alicante, where they lost their opening game against host nation Spain last week.

But Lauren Smith’s team bounced back in style, as first-half goals from Lola Brown and Jessie Gale set them on their way to victory.

Brown opened the scoring in the sixth minute, scoring from the rebound after Gale’s shot was saved.

And Gale doubled the advantage ten minutes later to give England a two-goal advantage at the break.
