England women’s under-17s ended a successful week in Spain by making it three wins from three games at the MIMA Cup in Murcia, after a 1-0 victory over Mexico.
Following their wins over Canada and Czechia earlier in the week, Natalie Henderson’s team knew that a win in their third game would see them win the competition.
And they delivered, with Eva Forster’s goal in the 53rd minute proving to be the winner.
The Young Lionesses will now turn their attention to next month’s UEFA Women’s U17 EURO qualifiers in Finland, where they will play the host nation, Sweden and the Netherlands as they aim to reach the EURO Finals in Faroe Islands this summer.
