England claimed third place at the Partially Sighted EUROs after seeing off host nation Türkiye 5-1.

Liam Spinks and Douglas Pratt scored braces as the Para Lions won the bronze medal in the third-place play-off on Sunday afternoon.

Spinks got England moving after just four minutes of the content, with a fine run and finish from the left-hand side beating the goalkeeper to put his side 1-0 up.

Goals from Pratt and Harry MacDonald followed in the opening period as England cut loose in their final outing of the competition, going 3-0 up little over halfway through the first half.

Before half-time it was four. Spinks scored his second with a strike into the top corner of the net to give England a comfortable lead going into the break.

Pratt scored within seconds of the restart to put the game beyond Türkiye and, on a personal note, wrap up a prolific run of goalscoring in this tournament.

Türkiye did score a consolation a couple of minutes later but never threatened a serious comeback.

The result means England won three of their five matches at the tournament and secured a well-deserved bronze medal.
