England to play Slovakia next at EURO 2024
The Three Lions will head to Gelsenkirchen for the round of 16 at UEFA EURO 2024
England will play Slovakia in the UEFA EURO 2024 Round of 16 on Sunday 30 June, kicking-off at 5pm BST.
The first knockout stage game will be played at the AufSchalke Stadium in Gelsenkirchen, which was where England kicked-off their EURO 2024 group stage with a win over Serbia on Sunday 16 June.
Gareth Southgate's team secured their place in the knockout phase after topping Group C following their draw with Slovenia on Tuesday evening, which pitted them against the best third-placed team from Group D, E or F.
Those groups were concluded on Wednesday evening and it's Slovakia who progress to face the Three Lions following their draw with Romania in Group E. The match will be shown live on ITV1 and ITVX in the UK.
It will be the first meeting of the nations since September 2017, when they met in a European qualifier for the 2018 World Cup at Wembley where goals from Eric Dier and Marcus Rashford sealed a 2-1 win.
They previously met in a EURO group stage game in 2016, when the teams shared a 0-0 draw in Saint-Etienne.
