More about the Lionesses

1) What is your earliest memory?

The earliest thing I remember is my sister pushing me off a trampoline and I actually broke my arm.

2) If you could go back in time, would you and where would you go?

I would, definitely. I'd probably go back to when dinosaurs were about. That would be quite interesting, I think.

3) What do you most like about yourself?

That's a hard question. I feel like I'm a very passionate person so when I enjoy doing something I always give it my all.

4) What is your biggest achievement?

Winning the EUROs, definitely.

5) What is your worst habit?

I'm very indecisive. Sometimes I wish I could just go for it, whatever it is. I always dwell on things and think, 'What if?'

6) What makes you most angry?

I'm so passionate about winning and it frustrates me when we don't.

7) Who is your biggest influence?

I'd say all of my family, especially my mum. She's an inspiration to me. She's been through a lot and she helps me in life.

8) How do you react under pressure?

I feel like I react well. Playing in front of thousands of people you sort of feel the pressure, but I think that helps me do better.

9) When do you feel most at ease?

When I'm sat in front of the TV drinking a cup of tea.

10) What do you dream about when you sleep?

Random things. A lot of my dreams actually turn into nightmares, where I'm being chased or running away from someone. It's probably not a good thing!

11) What's your favourite phrase or word?

One that pops into my mind is, 'Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard'. That's one I always keep in mind.

12) What reminds you of home?

I've got a lot of pictures in my house that remind me of home. This is really random, but I also own a lot of blankets and when I'm at home I like to get cosy under them a lot. It reminds me of growing up.

13) Are you superstitious about anything?

I have pasta bake the night before every game, that's the only thing.

14) What makes you cry?

Anything really. It could be a film, if someone upsets me. It takes a lot for me to cry usually, but I also sometimes do in happy moments when we win things as well

15) What song makes you feel good?

Sweet Caroline reminds me of winning things. It's a big one here.

16) What's your biggest obstacle?

Leaving home when I was young was a big thing. A big sacrifice. Being away from my family was me sort of trying to be more independent and it turned out to be the best thing I ever did but it was hard at the time.

17) What's your favourite place in the world?

I went to Croatia not long ago and that was lovely. I wouldn't mind going back there again.

18) What's your most valuable possession?

Any of the medals that I've won. It fills me with joy seeing them.

19) What's your worst fear?

Spiders. I spent two hours trying to catch one the other day.

20) How would you like to be remembered?

As humble and a very nice person. Obviously we've got our playing careers but I'd rather be remembered for the person that I was away from that rather than the player I am. Just a kind and nice human.
