Sarina Wiegman has quickly settled into her new surroundings at St. George's Park as she begins her role as England Women's senior team head coach.

Starting on Wednesday 1 September, following her initial appointment to the role last July, Wiegman met up with her technical and team staff at the national football centre as planning gets underway for the new campaign.

Wiegman's reign begins on Friday 17 September when the Lionesses take on North Macedonia in the first game of their new World Cup qualifying campaign.

And the Dutch coach says she's looking forward to taking her team to Southampton, with her first squad set to be named on Tuesday 7 September following this weekend's opening games in the Barclays FA Women's Super League.

"I just arrived at St. George's Park and it's very beautiful here," said Wiegman, who will attend the BFAWSL game between Arsenal and Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.

"I'm looking forward to start work with the staff this week and we have a very busy week coming up because we make the squad announcement next week.

"And I'm really looking forward to coaching at St. Mary's for our first match in Southampton against North Macedonia."
