Partially Funded Places Programme

To support football being truly a game for all, England Football Learning is delighted to offer partially funded places on our most popular coaching courses as part of our Partially Funded Places Programme.

The Partially Funded Places Programme has been developed to support coaches who may be facing barriers to getting involved.  We want to create a more inclusive coaching workforce and will be offering funding for 15% of all places on Introduction to Coaching Football and 20% of all places on UEFA C Diploma and UEFA B Diploma as part of the programme. This funding has been provided by Sport England and England Football Learning.

This programme offers learners the chance to apply for an 85% discount on the cost of the course. Learners will only need to pay the remaining 15% of the course fee. 
 
This means that the cost of these courses for successful applicants will be:
 
Introduction to Coaching Football - Our partial funding offer includes Safeguarding, IFAIF, and the Introduction to Coaching Football. The total cost would be £160, but with a partially funded place, you would pay just £24. This reduction applies even if you already have your IFAIF and Safeguarding.

UEFA C Diploma - The course costs £650. We fund £555, you only pay £95

UEFA B Diploma - The course costs £1,200. We fund £1,020, you only pay £180

The initiative is aligned to our wider goal of helping to increase participation within historically underrepresented groups (including female coaches, disabled coaches and coaches from Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic backgrounds) as well as supporting individuals from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds.

Introduction to Coaching Football & UEFA C Diploma

To apply for a partially funded place on our Introduction to Coaching Football course or UEFA C Diploma, you’ll need to complete our Funding Eligibility Form. The Funding Eligibility Form will be open throughout the season or until funding is fully allocated.

 If your application is successful, you'll receive a discount code which must be redeemed within two months. Funding is limited and subject to availability, so we encourage all successful applicants to redeem their funded place early to avoid disappointment.

 You’ll receive a response to your application within  five weeks of submission.

Are you entitled to £150 discount on UEFA Diploma?

If you coach at an affiliated grassroots club, you are entitled to £150 discount on the cost of the UEFA C Diploma. Please complete the Funding Eligibility Form to apply.

Applications for a UEFA B Diploma funded places in the 2025/26 season are now closed.

To apply for a partially funded place on the UEFA B Diploma when applications re-open you’ll need to complete our Funding Eligibility Form. Please remember to also complete a course application form as you must complete both forms to be considered for funding.

The Funding Eligibility Form will close at the same time as UEFA B Diploma course applications. You will be updated on the outcome of your funding application at the same time as your course application.
