About the course

This course aims to increase your confidence in delivering engaging, inclusive and high-quality PE through football. The learning contains six modules and lasts around three hours.

 It is delivered entirely online and can be completed at your own pace, in your own time.

1.Course Introduction

This module explains the course structure. It also provides the chance to tell us about yourself.

2. Holistic development in PE

This module explores learning domains, the FA 4 Corner Model and embedding your school values.

3. Mapping a curriculum

This module focuses on the PE National Curriculum and developing physical literacy.

4. High-quality teaching and learning in PE

In this module, you’ll learn about adaptive teaching, Assessment for Learning (AfL) and creating a positive environment.

5. Learning through games

This module explores how you can use a ‘learning through games’ approach to create fun, engaging PE that promotes holistic development.

6. Course summary

This module sums up the course. It reviews your learning objectives and provides the opportunity to give feedback.
